WHEN IN ROME BE …’
“and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him— a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all.” Colossians 3:10-11 NASB1995
“and have put on the new [spiritual] self who is being continually renewed in true knowledge in the image of Him who created the new self— a renewal in which there is no [distinction between] Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, [nor between nations whether] barbarian or Scythian, [nor in status whether] slave or free, but Christ is all, and in all [so believers are equal in Christ, without distinction].” Colossians 3:10-11 AMP
GOOD DAY: Relocating in the physical world and spiritual world are a bit different. When you relocate in the physical world, you carry as much of your earthly goods that you will need in your new place. In the spirit, relocation involves leaving everything you have and know in the spirit realm to be filled with the spirit of where you are going. When you get to your new spiritual location, you are given a new nature entirely. This is why changing location from the world to the heavenly realm becomes challenging for people. The bible calls it a new creation. “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 NASB1995 In our scripture for today, it says you have to put on the new self which is being continually renewed after the image of Christ who created it.
Again when you relocate in the physical realm, you are called an immigrant and there are some benefits of the new place that you don’t enjoy. In the spiritual relocation, you begin to enjoy all benefits instantly. There is no distinction in color, status, blood group, married, single, divorced, polygamous, educational status, name it whatever your status is, it is irrelevant. The same Spirit of Christ enters everyone. You may be wondering how that realm will be if there is no difference between people. It is more interesting than what we have now because the Spirit of Christ gives gifts to each person. “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.” The diversities in gifts and ministries make life in the spirit very pleasant. Ministry here means whatever you are gifted to do, you can be an engineer, a cleaner, a pilot, a preacher, a DJ, name it the Spirit of Christ will coordinate everything to the glory of God and benefit of humanity. When in Christ, you will be like Christ. The disciples were not just given the name Christians but they attracted the name when they saw them behaving like Christ. Acts 11:26.
As your spiritual location becomes heavenly, it works the heavenly nature out even while you are still here on earth.
