November 10. John ch 16-18
NO NEED TO FEAR
[15] My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me. [16] Make Your face to shine upon Your servant; Save me in Your lovingkindness. [17] Let me not be put to shame, O Lord, for I call upon You; Let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol.
Psalms 31:15-17 NASB1995
GOOD DAY: When David wrote this psalm, the enemy would come with bow and arrow and sword to kill and destroy but now it is different. The enemy does not wage war in flesh and blood but in the spirit. [12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 KJV
This is the area in which wars are fought now before it becomes physical. A lady related her experience while sleeping. He dreamt of a particular man and his partner with whom she had some argument, choking her after they had told her earlier that she would die. She was physically struggling for breath and for sometime, she could not talk or breathe well then suddenly she came round and a big phlegm was in her throat. She cleaned her throat and said out loud that her life is in the hands of God and that the man and his partner will receive what they had invoked because a curse does not affect the curseless. Then she went back to sleep. There is no need to fear that your life can be cut short by anybody because your times are in the hands of God. The way to deal with a spiritual enemy is to be grounded in your faith. When the enemy comes in the form of words spoken by someone somewhere to afflict you, you can say the word of your faith to the spirit. Your life is not in anybody’s hands. It is God that gave you breath and He is the only One who can withdraw it. Let this be your faith and live your life joyfully doing His will
Today’s exercise, write out who or what is threatening your life. Tell yourself and the thing or person aloud that only God is in control of your life. Say it out several times until it settles in your inner man and you are not fearful again.
PRAY: Dear Lord, I thank You that my life is in Your hands and it is safe with You. Help me to live above fear in this realization.
