July 3. Psalms ch 148-150
THE THREE VOICES
Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?” Genesis 3:1 ESV
GOOD DAY:: There are three voices that could possibly speak to man in the garden of Eden.The very first voice he heard was the voice of God. Made in God’s image and likeness, God saw that he was very good and visited him in the evening and spoke with him. He gave the man an assignment and when He saw that it was not good for him to be alone, He brought the woman out of him and they talked to themselves. That became the second voice. The third were the beasts of the field that could communicate with man but none was a suitable help meet for him except the woman. The serpent being more crafty than other beasts spoke with the woman and deceived her to query and doubt the word of God. This has been so since the garden of Eden and so man must be able to discern which is the voice speaking to him at any particular time. Make every effort to know the voice that speaks to you.
PRAY: Dear Father, teach me to differentiate between the voices that can speak to me and follow Your own.
