June 8. Psalms ch 79-81
IT WILL END IN PRAISE
“For thus says the Lord: When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will visit you, and I will fulfill to you my promise and bring you back to this place. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:10-11 ESV
GOOD DAY: The thought that an exile for the child of God is His plan could be difficult to take in but it is part of His plan to keep us in line for our ultimate good which is eternity with Him in heaven. It is not just in heaven though but even while here on earth. The exile has a life span decided by God and it will pass at the expiration of its time. While you are in an exile condition, look up to the hope that you have and give thanks to God always. Your position today is a step in your journey to the good that God intends for you. If you don’t have the proper perspective, you will be sad and frustrated with life. LOOK UP AND FORWARD to your expectations from God till the exile shall pass.
PRAY: Dear Lord, help me to believe that Your thoughts towards me are thoughts of good to give me a hope and an expected end especially when the going gets tough.
