May 9. Psalms 38-39
UNDERSTANDING SPIRITUAL POWER
Power is the ability to do work in the natural or the ability to move things in a certain direction. It is the same in the spirit realm. Nothing happens in nature that has no root in the spirit so we need to understand how to engage the power present in the spirit to change our world for the better. Here are the power triggers in the spirit.
JOY: Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
Isaiah 12:3 KJV
We get confronted with challenges from time to time in our lives. Some challenges are short lived while others are prolonged. Challenges also differ in severity but one thing is common to them they will not endure forever. There is a well of salvation in God’s word but the word will only work salvation when we take it with JOY. The energy or power of JOY is to unfold salvation. That is why Paul says “Rejoice always,
1 Thessalonians 5:16 ESV
The energy that joy gives is to work out salvation.
PEACE: And he said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God. We have sought him, and he has given us peace on every side.” So they built and prospered.
2 Chronicles 14:7 ESV
Peace has the energy to build. When you seek the Lord over any challenge or desire and He gives you peace, then you can build. When you have peace, you will flow in building the part of the universe that is yours to build.
THANKSGIVING: And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who were to sing to the Lord and praise him in holy attire, as they went before the army, and say, “Give thanks to the Lord, for his steadfast love endures forever.” And when they began to sing and praise, the Lord set an ambush against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, so that they were routed. For the men of Ammon and Moab rose against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, devoting them to destruction, and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they all helped to destroy one another.
2 Chronicles 20:21-23 ESV
Thanksgiving to God unleashes the power of God to defeat the enemy. A thankful person never has to fight in any battle, God fights the battle for him.
LOVE. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:7-8 ESV. Whoever loves lives in God and flows with God and has all the energy of God. This is LOVE. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends… 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 ESV
When your desires are motivated by Love, then God will surely carry you through to manifest it.
