April 16. Nehemiah ch 12-Esther ch 2
TO SAVE THE EARTH FROM DESTRUCTION
...but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’” But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:3-5 ESV
GOOD DAY: I was watching two video clips posted on one of the platforms I belong to. I don’t normally watch them but yesterday, I found myself watching the two and I was moved to ask God what He has to say about them and what we can do. The first one is the preparation that some scientists have already made for the next pandemic which they are already testing on animals and the second is the next phase of weaponizing drones which again they have started testing. Both of these, if successfully completed, will affect innocent people so what can we do? We have to start from the beginning. Man was given power to have dominion over and subdue the earth Genesis 1:26-28. Man was commanded by God not to eat the fruit of the tree of life and that of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The day he eats the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, he will surely die. Next, Satan the ruler of the world deceived man to eat the fruit thus portraying God as a liar. Man ate and man died spiritually although the clay body was still living. Genesis 3:1-8. Since then, man has been evolving in subduing the earth and dominating it. Eating the fruit of knowledge of good and evil broke the connection between man and God and man became independent of God and literally died spiritually. This makes man not to yield to God in the use of his power to dominate the earth. Whatever he thinks about or imagines, he is able to do. This is why mankind can devise anything and unless God comes and confuses their language, whatever a group of them agree upon, they will achieve. Genesis 11:1-9.
The first implication of man’s dominion of the earth was to believe that God does not exist. The more developed man becomes, especially technologically, the more he believes there is no God and the more foolish and evil he becomes.
‘The [spiritually ignorant] fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have committed repulsive and unspeakable deeds; There is no one who does good.’ Psalms 14:1 AMP. So the first duty of those who still believe there is God is to spread the message to others. Let us echo the message that GOD EXISTS. God is out of the system of the majority of mankind. Science and technology and self have replaced Him. This is the first duty of all who believe that God Exists so as to save the earth. We will continue from here tomorrow.
PRAY: Dear Lord, a world without You is a scary and uncertain world. Please let there be revival and let your knowledge cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.
