IF YOU CAN SEE

October 21.                         Luke ch 1-3

IF YOU CAN SEE

When they had crossed over, Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask what I shall do for you before I am taken from you.” And Elisha said, “Please, let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.” He said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.”

2 Kings 2:9‭-‬10 NASB1995

GOOD DAY. The story of Elijah and Elisha teaches a fundamental lesson in getting answers to prayers. Elisha was asking for a difficult thing. Elijah gave the key to getting Elisha’s demand. It is still the same key now. What is this key? It is SEE or consciousness. If Elisha could see Elijah when he was taken from  him, then he would have his request. Elisha had persistently followed Elijah even when Elijah discouraged him, he did not give up. When fellow prophets discouraged him, he did not budge. He followed Elijah as he knew him up until then. His awareness of Elijah was everything Elijah stood for then. But Elijah transformed into the man carried by the chariot of fire. He became a spirit person. Elisha’s imagination or sight of Elijah changed and he got the double portion of the power of Elijah.

Are you willing to meditate or look at the state you desire enough to catch a vision or imagination of its being in the Spirit realm? Anytime what we want is a hard thing, we need to be more persistent in meditation in the result we want until we see it happen in the Spirit realm. This is different from worry. Worry drains energy while thinking in the end result empowers. Worry brings anxiety while thinking in the end you desire gives rest. Worry makes you sick while thinking in the end result renews your health. When Jesus was on earth, the same thing happened. The woman with the issue of blood for twelve years heard about Jesus and thought within herself until she decided what to do. She thought that if she could touch the hem of his garment, she would be healed. It was hard because she was an unclean person who should not touch anyone yet she had to struggle through the crowd to get to Jesus. What is your own issue or challenge? Write out clearly the outcome you desire. Look at the outcome enough, fine tuning it as it comes to your heart until you can SEE it given in heaven. Joy beyond understanding and peace will fill and guard your heart once this happens. The rest is for you to keep thanking God and remain unchanging in the sight that you caught. Be aware of it no matter what the outside world presents.

PRAY: Open my eyes Lord that I may see.
