September 22. Amos ch 8- Obadiah1
YOU HAVE IT THEN USE IT
(Imagination)
“The king chanted a lament for Abner and said, “Should Abner die as a fool dies? Your hands were not bound, nor your feet put in fetters; As one falls before the wicked, you have fallen.” And all the people wept again over him.”
2 Samuel 3:33-34 NASB1995
GOOD DAY. Like Abner who had the sword and did not use it or was too assuming to trust himself to an adversary, many of us have suffered or are still suffering because we cannot use the instrument we have to deliver ourselves from the adversary. I had suffered many setbacks in the past and it is a bad set back that made me ask questions and start seeking answers.
In my search, I found Jesus saying all things are possible for those who believe. Mark 9:23. How do I believe? The father of the child to whom Jesus said this asked Jesus to help his unbelief. My search took me to see that the channel of belief is SIGHT but not with the natural eyes. It is with the eye of the mind which is imagination. There is nothing the human mind cannot imagine if he chooses to.
Imagination originates from either facts of what we see OR from inside us of what we want it to be or what it is supposed to be. The imagination originating from inside generates faith. The more I imagine and hold on to it, the stronger it becomes a reality. Because imagination well managed will produce reality, we must imagine things that will make life better and out of love.
Most people have limited their imagination to what the facts they see can or know can produce. We imagine in the box of what life presents. Imagine out of the box in love not hurting anybody and leave God to work out your imagination. You have it (imagination), then use it.
PRAY: Dear Lord, thank You for giving me the gift of imagination. Teach me to use it right in Jesus name.
