PEACE: A REWARD ON INVESTING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS
“If you live according to my rules, keep my commands, and do them, I will grant peace in the land so that you can lie down without anyone frightening you. I will remove dangerous animals from the land, and no sword will pass through it.”Leviticus 26:3,6 CEB
GOOD DAY: Africans pray and invest in church buildings. Statistics has it that there are more churches in Africa than industries. Advanced countries invest in technology and industries investing close to nothing in churches. In actual fact, they are taking God out of their lifestyle. But do you know what? The whole world lacks peace. This proves that neither multiplication of church buildings and religious activities nor advanced technology without church buildings and activities can give peace.
Peace is the reward of having a living relationship with God. This living relationship involves allowing God to live through you. He made a way for this when God became man in Jesus so that in Jesus, man became God. When you take Jesus out of any human life no matter how much he strives to be God, there can be no peace. Peace, individual or corporate is a reward for investing in having Jesus Christ live in you and through you. The nation that can invest in making Jesus Christ the Lord of her people and land will have peace. On a personal level, I have found peace of God that passes all human understanding in my life despite all the stones that people have thrown at me. Religion is good but living in a relationship with Christ is best.
PRAY: Dear Lord God, teach and help us to have a living relationship with you whereby You live in us.
