STRIVE TO GROW TO MATURITY
“These grace ministries will function until we all attain oneness into the faith, until we all experience the fullness of what it means to know the Son of God, and finally we become one into a perfect man with the full dimensions of spiritual maturity and fully developed into the abundance of Christ. And then our immaturity will end! And we will not be easily shaken by trouble, nor led astray by novel teachings or by the false doctrines of deceivers who teach clever lies.” Ephesians 4:13-14
GOOD DAY: Talk of doctrines, they are flying around, especially in Africa. They resonate around money, miracles and deliverance. The center of all doctrines however comes down to Mammon. Some pastors are however rising to deflate some of the doctrines but unfortunately, people have been hooked because of expectations that such doctrines would deliver them from poverty.
Does the Bible have anything to say about money, healing, miracles and deliverance? Yes, it says a lot and even warns that men will rise up to deceive others using money and working miracles. You cannot know what the Bible has to say in proper context unless you read through the Bible. Most of us find it difficult to read the Bible because:
1 We don’t understand the old language of the earlier Bibles so we can’t connect with it.
2 We cannot connect with the culture of the time.
3 We are too busy with the cares of the world that going through the Bible looks like a waste of time.
Thank God that there are so many versions of the Bible now in today’s language that anyone could relate to. There are even translations by context using the day-to-day language of this generation. It has also been made easy with technology that all versions of the bible are in one Bible app that you can download on your phone and use to compare the translations of any verse to see the context and how it applies to you today. To mature ourselves in the Lord, we are starting a journey through the bible in 120 days as a group on the first of June 2024. Our route will be announced later, be on the lookout. PRAY: Open my eyes Lord that I may behold wondrous things from Your word.
