May 29. Ezra ch 4-7
WHILE STILL A CHILD.
“Let me illustrate: As long as an heir is a minor, he’s not really much different than a servant, although he’s the master over all of them. For until the time appointed by the father, the child is under the domestic supervision of the guardians of the estate. So it is with us. When we were juveniles we were enslaved under the hostile spirits of the world.” Galatians 4:1-3
GOOD DAY: Thank God for Jesus who lived, died, and resurrected so that those who trust in Him may have eternal life and be able to mature to His full stature. While we are minors in faith, the hostile spirits of the world keep us in check. We read or hear what we should be doing as believers in Christ but we are incapable of doing them. We quote scriptures and claim promises yet we are frustrated as we do not enjoy the promises. Oftentimes, we are confused and the hostile spirits of the world direct us wherever and however they want, we need maturity to be free of them and manage our inheritance in Christ.
As long as we are immature, we are kept under the supervision of men and women who tell us what we should be doing and not doing resulting in all sorts of doctrines. Until we mature in the knowledge of the Holy Spirit and the word of God, we will be following a lot of man made doctrines and laws.
When the Holy Spirit is given room in your heart, He leads you to read the word of God, gives you understanding and the Spirit and word in you will be a standard against any wrong teaching so you will not be disappointed or frustrated in your Christian walk.
For the purpose of maturing us, I invite you to join us in a marathon of reading through the bible in 120 days starting from the first of June. You will discover amazing things and have an overview of the nature of God.
There is a registration form to signify your interest so we can know how to make adequate provisions for the marathon.
PRAY: Dear Holy Spirit, I present myself to You, prepare me to do the spiritual marathon of reading through the Bible in 120 days.
