BENEFITS OF CHILDREN

“And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.” John 8:35 KJV

GOOD DAY: One big benefits of being a child in a household is that you always have access to your father’s house. No matter how long you have been away or how bad you have become, you are always welcome back. A husband or wife may reject you but you are always welcome in your father’s house. Remember the story of the prodigal son, after wasting his inheritance, his father gladly welcomed him back. As a child of God, you are part of the household of God eternally. Nothing can separate you from the love of God. You are part of the body of Christ. I looked at the importance of being a child of God in the law of the divorced priest’s daughter.

“But if a priest’s daughter becomes a widow or is divorced, yet has no children, and she returns to live in her father’s household as in her youth, she may eat her father’s food. No unauthorized person, however, may eat it.” Leviticus 22:13 NIV. She can eat the father’s food which is not lawful for anyone not a priest’s family member. It is a glorified thing to be a child of God. 

Another benefit is that Jesus tells you everything He hears from His father and your father. “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know what his master is doing. But I call you friends, because I have made known to you everything I heard from my Father.” John 15:15 NCV. If you ask Jesus any question and you care to listen, He will tell you what the Father says about it. The problem with me and many people is when Jesus tells me about things He hears from His father, I argue or refuse to believe it is Him talking to me but they still happen as He says them anyway. So you are open to having privileged information from the throne of grace. 

Another benefit of being a child of God is the confidence to approach the throne of grace. 

“For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:15-16 NASB1995

Grace is divine help that makes us live super natural lives in the face of difficulties. God told Paul three times that His grace was enough for Paul when the  thorn in his flesh was not taken out. These are few of the benefits of being a child in the household of God. Jesus gives the power to become the child of God. Accept Him today.

PRAY: Dear Lord, the world needs grace to do that which is right no matter what. Grant that there will be a revival that will draw hearts to Jesus Christ.
