August 27. Jeremiah 32-33
JOURNEYING THROUGH SEASONS
“But now, thus says the Lord, your Creator, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.” Isaiah 43:1-2 NASB1995
GOOD DAY: Life is a journey which begins from the moment we are conceived and ends as we know it on this planet the day we pass on to the after life. It is not a journey that we take alone, there are people with us side by side or far away. Like an earthly journey, there are bends and turns; the river and fire, the rough and the smooth and all sorts. We help our fellow travelers and we are helped as well until we get to the end.
However, there is the unseen companion that we have from conception. Hear David talks about this companion: “For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.” Psalms 139:13, 15-16 NASB1995. God is your unseen companion. Nothing happens to you outside His knowledge. You have to believe He is there and talk with Him as you would a physical companion that you can see. The more you believe He is with you, the easier it becomes to seek Him and relate with Him as you pass through the various stages of your life journey. Jesus said:
“And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.”” John 8:29 NASB1995. As you become aware of His Presence with you and do His will, there is nothing to fear as He will see you through to the end of your journey.
PRAY: Dear Lord, thank You for being with me always even when I don’t appreciate You. Open my mind to recognise Your presence with me in Jesus name.
