WORDS! WORDS!! WORDS!!!

“So the Lord said this to me: ‘If you turn back to me, I will help you to be strong. Then you can continue to serve me. Speak valuable words instead of useless words. Then you can speak on my behalf. These people must change to be like you have been. You must not change to become like them.” Jeremiah 15:19 EASY

GOOD DAY: Many years ago, I used to do something that made me notice a difference in my life. Those years, audio bible gadgets first came. My very good friend gave me one as a gift with an earpiece. I fell so much in love with it that I decided to keep listening to the New Testament every three days continuously. I could not chat or listen to gists with people, in fact they used to complain about constantly wearing the earpiece. In those days, when I went for fellowships and I was asked to pray, people noticed that I prayed about what their problems were and gave solutions without them telling me anything prior to the meeting. Then I understood Jeremiah 15:19.

Words have power and they are divided into two categories, namely:

VALUABLE words and USELESS OR VAIN WORDS. Valuable words are words formed after God’s word and mind. The valuable words of God carry God’s power and perform God’s will. It is able to stand against any useless word pronounced by anybody. This is probably why there are no prophets again. Everybody speaks worthless words of what the world is saying about situations. Social media words form the reasoning of many people.

USELESS or VAIN words are words formed outside God’s word. ““As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the Lord: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says the Lord, “from now and forever.”” Isaiah 59:21 NASB1995

All words not conforming to the word of God are vain words.

PRAY: Dear Lord, teach my mouth to speak Your words and my mind to disregard vain words no matter the source.
