November 14 John ch 16-18
THERE IS POWER WITHIN YOU
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,” Ephesians 3:20 NIV
GOOD DAY: It is amazing how most of us feel we are without power and helpless and frustrated in the face of challenges. We run from pillar to post to find people who we believe have power to help us. Even Christians who mouth all sorts of power promises are even worse when those promises seem not to be working. You have power within you all you need is to believe and discover how to connect. Any power from outside you cannot shape your life unless you permit it. That is why in spite of many deliverance ministries, so many people are still bound, helpless and not at peace. It is because people are not aware of the power within them and they are not taught how to link with the power within them. As you see in scripture above, it is the power within you that works out your prayers. You have to become aware of the power and understand it. Like electricity, if you are not aware of it, you will not enjoy it and if you don’t understand it, it can destroy you.
Listen, you have power within you. It is the power that God transferred to Adam at creation. It is the power that kept you as a baby when you were helpless. That power is still there. It is God in you. You are not helpless or powerless, it is just that you choose to be independent of Him. Man is made to depend on God but Adam and Eve chose to be independent of Him and they saw that they were naked. The understanding of this is the first step to connection with the power that works within you. Say that phrase “there is power that works within me” several times until it settles in the depth of your heart to the point that you will begin to obey this scripture. “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13 NIV
The power of God is at work within you. Make His knowledge your pursuit.
PRAY: Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for asking the Father to send the power that you had and walked with when You were here. Help me to become aware of this power and seek to understand and connect with Him.
