KNOWING GOD’S THOUGHTS WITHOUT SCRIPTURE
“because that which is known about God is evident within them [in their inner consciousness], for God made it evident to them. For ever since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through His workmanship [all His creation, the wonderful things that He has made], so that they [who fail to believe and trust in Him] are without excuse and without defense. [Ps 19:1-4; Eph 2:10]” Romans 1:19-20 AMP
GOOD DAY: I spent my childhood days with elderly people in a family compound. They were not literate but they knew how to think God’s thoughts. How did they do it? Through looking at God’s work and power in sustaining His creation. One popular one that I have not forgotten is ‘there is always a way for a stream to flow so God will make a way.’ They never give up saying that when one door is locked, God opens another one. Another one is ‘God who provides for the birds of the air will provide for them.’ Another one that is used to caution an erring person is ‘the wolverine doesn’t go around during the day so a person from a good home does not roam around in the night.’ There are many sayings and proverbs in the native language of a person who cannot read or write or even know about the bible that guide them in their thinking after God’s mind. God makes Himself clear through His creation that does not change. Job 12:7-9
Most people who invent great scientific things thought of creations of God in nature.
Once someone thinks or calls forth the works of God deep from his heart, the power of God goes into action again to manifest Himself.
Today, as you move around, pay attention to how God speaks through nature.
PRAY: My God and my Father, thank You that you speak through Your works that I see everywhere. Help me to think of Your greatness and goodness so that I will be a testimony to Your power.
