define your purpose

December 15.     Titus ch 1-3; Philemon

DEFINE YOUR PURPOSE

“Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness— in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,” Titus 1:12 NIV

GOOD DAY: While taking stock of your life in the outgoing year, it is good to clearly define your purpose and see how closely you moved in the direction of fulfilling it. Paul gave us an example by defining his purpose and clearly moving towards it. Jesus Christ defined His purpose and He was always telling His disciples anytime it appeared they were distracting Him. “But He said, “I must preach [the good news of] the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because I was sent for this purpose.”” Luke 4:43 AMP

When He was about to go to the cross and His soul was troubled, He had to state His purpose again: ““Now My soul is troubled and deeply distressed; what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour [of trial and agony]’? But it is for this [very] purpose that I have come to this hour [this time and place].” John 12:27 AMP

Time of stock taking is the time for you to define or redefine your purpose in life. This will give direction to your life in coming years.

PRAY: Thank You dear Lord for showing me that You lived for a purpose. Help me to identify my purpose too and live for it.
