January 3. Genesis ch 8-11
WHO IS GOD THAT…?
“And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.” Exodus 5:2 KJV
HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Pharaoh the king of Egypt asked Moses who God is that he should obey Him and let the Israelites leave Egypt. Many if not most people now ask the same question directly or indirectly. We ask who God is, that we should obey him or take cognisance of Him at all. Because people do not know Him, they do whatever their instincts tell them and the whole world is in disarray with fears from our own inventions.
Today, God exists and is the Creator of all things both seen and unseen even the ones man ‘invents’ or is yet to invent. Because He is the creator of all things, He is the one who has the blueprint of how to run His universe and can fix anything that goes wrong. When man fails to follow His instructions, He permits whatever we do but leaves us with the consequences. The consequences of our actions leads us back to Him when we are fed up with the pain we experience. Today, look at the label of anything you hold and read the label as “Made By God”.
TODAY’S EXERCISE: Say ‘God created heaven and earth and all the things in the whole universe’ to yourself at least ten times.
