WHAT ARE SPIRITUAL FEELERS?
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,” Galatians 5:22 NASB1995
HAPPY DAY: We all know how to use our physical senses to identify good or bad. The shortcoming of our physical senses however is that it cannot judge what is good for us in the long run accurately as it changes with the moment. For example, a man meets a pretty girl and he desires her as wife. His heart lusts after her deeply like Samson to Delilah not knowing that he will not do him good in the long run.
The Holy Spirit however knows who the lady really is and what their tomorrow will be if they are together. The Holy Spirit is constantly guiding but we can not see or feel Him with our physical faculties. How does a person sense the Holy Spirit in his choice or recognise His presence and voice? The way to know the choice of the Spirit is through His fruit. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. The voice of the Spirit comes with these attributes. PEACE in particular is His eyes. His peace passes all human understanding and the peace disappears in our hearts when things are not quite right. Today, recollect some decisions you made in the past that you had no peace over although everything seemed right in the natural. What happened when you ignored the lack of peace and went ahead?
TODAY’S EXERCISE: say “I HAVE AND AM GUIDED BY THE PEACE OF GOD ALWAYS” ten times to yourself and as often as possible today.
