May 23.             2 Chronicles ch 23-25

AS YOU LIKE IT

“and he went out to meet Asa and said to him, “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: the Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him [inquiring for and of Him, as your soul’s first necessity], He will let you find Him; but if you abandon (turn away from) Him, He will abandon (turn away from) you.”

 2 Chronicles 15:2 AMP

GOOD DAY: It is amazing to know that you actually decide which side of God you experience. It dawned on me some years back when I was researching the secret of king David’s relationship with God. In Psalm 18, he wrote:

“With the kind You show Yourself kind; With the blameless You show Yourself blameless; With the pure You show Yourself pure, And with the crooked You show Yourself astute.” Psalm 18:25-26 NASB

God does not force Himself on man. He has provided everything for our peace and well being in Jesus Christ. It is only left to man to search and abide with Him to experience Him. In a world that is fast abandoning God for pleasure, science and self, God is moving far from the world and people keep asking where God is when disasters are happening. God is seated on His throne but the world chooses not to draw near to Him so He has left the world to the consequences of her actions. Apostle James put it this way too: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

James 4:8 NASB1995

The initiative of your experience of God lies with you. Read Deuteronomy 30:15-20 and see God put the initiative of what we experience on man. Choose to be good and obedient to God and you will experience that God is good. 

PRAY: Dear Lord, it is nice to know that we dictate how we experience You. Please draw more people to seek You in positive ways that we may find joy in You.
