July 20. Proverbs ch 13-16
AWARENESS RAISERS
“One generation shall praise thy works to another, And shall declare thy mighty acts.” Psalm 145:4 KJV
GOOD DAY. Whatever we are not aware of is useless to man. Take the simple smart phones that we use everyday, most of us are only aware of about ten percent of its functions despite carrying it everyday. This shows that we may be calling the name God or Jesus Christ or Holy Spirit every time yet we are not aware of Him with us always. How do you create awareness?
In nature, we create awareness by hearing others tell us about whatever they want us to be aware of. That is why and how advertising companies exist. Jesus Christ told His apostles to go and create awareness of the good news. “Jesus said to his followers, “Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone.”
Mark 16:15 NCV. So the first step is to tell people.
The second step is for the person who hears to believe and put into practice what he has heard. Jesus summarized it this way; “Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved, but anyone who does not believe will be punished.” Mark 16:16 NCV.
If you hear the good news that GOD IS WITH YOU, AND YOU BELIEVE ENOUGH TO GET IMMERSED IN IT, YOU WILL EXPERIENCE HIM. I read the word of God (the whole bible) regularly and listen to testimonies of people about their experience of Him and I observe His presence with me in how He helps me, that has made me aware of His presence. I then deliberately call upon His presence in anything that I do. He reveals Himself to me in all circumstances by doing in me and for me what only Himself can do. Until you deliberately decide to be practicing the presence of God with You for who He is, you cannot experience Him. Knowledge of His presence with you changes your attitude to life. The knowledge of His presence with me has stabilized me through all the challenges I go through on a daily basis and He gives me peace. I invite you to listen to Him in His word regularly, say to yourself as often as possible that God is with you and relate with Him then observe as He begins to calm the storms of your life. I am a living testimony to the fact that awareness of God with me gives light in the dark and strength in weakness.
PRAY: Dear Lord, may I acknowledge Your presence doing good and giving me peace and joy in life that I may continue to seek more of it.
