March 30. 1 Chronicles ch 15-18
LINK UP WITH GOD
“Then He said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear. By your own standard of measurement [that is, to the extent that you study spiritual truth and apply godly wisdom] it will be measured to you [and you will be given even greater ability to respond]—and more will be given to you besides. For whoever has [a teachable heart], to him more [understanding] will be given; and whoever does not have [a yearning for truth], even what he has will be taken away from him.””
Mark 4:24-25 AMP
GOOD DAY. Have you been following the teachings for some time now? Have you created time to read the bible passages that will take you through the bible in one year? Have you been yearning to have first hand conversation with God? The passage above puts you on the right path. I used to desire spiritual knowledge. The desire was so deep and hot that I became more interested in bible reading and christian books and attending christian fellowships that my desire and love for secular books dropped off without any effort of mine. I did not even miss them. After consistent reading and listening to preachers, I began to understand scriptures myself. I found myself obeying whatever I understood in scriptures without any effort. Even when it was contrary to my fleshly desires, it was not painful to me. I also noticed that pain and myself are traveling on parallel lanes even when I had trying challenges that could make one deny or doubt God’s love. If you want to link up with God, you must consciously give your mental energy to study or be familiar with spiritual matters. Today, I know when God is speaking to me from when other spirits are putting things in my heart or when I am speaking to myself.
Do you want to link up with God and experience Him? Shift your attention to His word with your whole passion. As you fix your passion on God and His kingdom, the weak flame will be fanned into a big one that nothing will be able to put out, then and only then can you begin to experience God in an intimate way. It pays to hook up to God as that is the only way to stay on top of the challenges of this fallen world.
