EMBRACE THE REALITY BUT HOPE FOR THE BETTER

A participant from New Mexico works on a basket during the Smithsonian’s 1992 Festival of American Folklife on the National Mall, Washington D.C.

“Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf; for in its welfare you will have welfare.’ For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, ‘Do not let your prophets who are in your midst and your diviners deceive you, and do not listen to the dreams which they dream. “For thus says the Lord, ‘When seventy years have been completed for Babylon, I will visit you and fulfill My good word to you, to bring you back to this place. For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:7-8, 11-10 NASB1995

GOOD DAY: Faith in God does not deny the reality but lives to the best in that reality while hoping for the good plan of the Lord. Please read Jeremiah ch 29. I am a fast walker and I believe God feeds my mouth with good things and renews my youth as the eagles. I believe that in Christ I live, move and have my being. I hope for ‘today’ that I will move fast without pain again. I get up and walk as fast as I can, giving thanks to God for each step. I have not missed out on the best I can be in spite of the pain and oh the joy that I have at what I am able to do daily. I pray for all the people who have leg pain and have been restricted to one spot because of it or who keep complaining and unhappy in and with God and life. I tried complaining for three days to see how those who do feel and it was a bad position to be. I was frustrated because I saw all I could achieve that I had left undone and was emotionally in a bad shape. I decided to embrace the pain while it lasts and do all I can do in moving forward with joy and prayers for those who are having similar pains.

Look into whatever is making you unhappy now, see it as the reality to which God has given you for now ( your captivity) and see the hope you have in God then live moving towards your hope as much as you can, giving glory to God. When the time of the current reality (captivity) expires, you will enjoy the reality that you hoped for.

Everything have it’s season, when you are in your dry season, enjoy the season with the hope and expectations of a raining season. No situation is permanent, so let us enjoy the moment we are because God never fails in His promises . Halleluyah
