enough to humble man

July 9.       Psalms 106-108

ENOUGH TO HUMBLE MAN

“A person’s days are determined; you have decreed the number of his months and have set limits he cannot exceed.”  Job 14:5 NIV

GOOD DAY: I am sometimes amazed at the progress that man is making in science and how deep and far scientists are advancing in unraveling nature. Because of this, man is becoming more proud and independent of God nor takes  notice of anything to humble him though they are all around him. It has got to the stage where children are being brainwashed that they are animals and can change to any animal of their choice. O Lord, have mercy on the world.

On the other hand, a man that is not exposed to making scientific feats becomes very wicked where he has the power. He is so immersed in corruption at levels that are hard to believe. When I say man, it is generic as women are no better than men gender wise. The wicked one lies and embezzles and does as much evil that can destroy humanity as the scientist does with his science. The world is denying or questioning the existence of God. Man however has forgotten the leveler that only God has control of. It is DEATH. All the rich people and the poor live the days assigned to them by God and no one has been able to stop death. If you have been following the Bible in one year reading, you will remember the story of the Tower of Babel. Genesis 11. God did not kill them but confused their language.  Another time, God showed His supremacy by sending His angel to kill the Assyrian army. “That night the angel of the Lord went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning—there were all the dead bodies! So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and withdrew. He returned to Nineveh and stayed there.” 2 Kings 19:35-36

As individuals, let us begin to revere God because He is supreme. As we return to Him as individuals, the more He will show His glory and the more people will begin to honor Him again.

Another thing that should humble mankind again is Peace, though unseen, but when it eludes a man or nation, he has inner unrest that can lead to war. Peace, joy and contentment are intangible and belong to the realm of Jesus Christ. As people are removing His knowledge from their lives, all these elude them and we end up with wars and no one is safe.

This is a call to humility and reset on man’s part to put Jesus Christ high in the scheme of things first by individuals and the world in general. Think, how can you put Jesus in the scheme of your individual life?

PRAY: Dear Lord Jesus Christ, You are the Life and Prince Of Peace. Help me to come back to You that I may know your glory.
