eye for the unseen

EYES FOR THE UNSEEN (Thought)

“We were saved in hope. If we see what we hope for, that isn’t hope. Who hopes for what they already see?” Romans 8:24 CEB

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: These days, I have fallen in love with word study so I can fully understand how to live my faith in Christ. I look at our scripture for today and ask myself what is hope? If I am saved in hope, then I must know what hope is so I can stay in it. See the dictionary definition of hope:

Hope is all about imagining and reaching for a better future for ourselves. Hope is both an emotion and a way of thinking. We experience it in our brain but it comes from somewhere or someone outside ourselves. Hope is crucial in times of uncertainty, and in dealing with adversity

Hope is thought made concrete in me. With thought, the eye of the unseen, I see the end result which is my hope and how to get there. Thinking however, is triggered by things we notice. What we notice is relative to our environment vis a vis our goal or desire. To some, their desire is just to meet their daily essentials while to others it is to excel in their professions. To some, it is to maintain top health no matter their age while to others they don’t mind how healthy they are. Whatever your goal or desire is, if you observe that it is slipping away from you, your thinking is triggered. How you think then determines how you get instructed to move towards achieving your desire. This is the root of whether one is evil or godly. Pause for sometime today and review how you think and what you feel as you think. Write it down. Tomorrow by God’s grace, we continue from here. Today’s goal of the exercise is to make you conscious that you think and how you think and what you think.

Today’s exercise: Say to yourself at least ten times today:  “I feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill my thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm.” Colossians 3:2 TPT

This makes a lot of sense. After, if you already showed someone be gift that’s meant to surprise them, there’s no more surprises since they’ve seen what’s coming.

Hmmm. This calls for deep reflection and help from the Holy Spirit. No wonder we are instructed to guard our hearts with all due diligence for out of it are the issues of life. May we anchor our hope on the concrete reality of God’s truth. May the Holy Spirit truly tutor us on how to commune with the Word also an aspect of the unseen until we appropriate it as are own experience. It requires that ability to be driven by the end (Hope) from the beginning. There is a need for the discipline to remain focused with no tolerance for distractions and the falsehoods of the enemy that manifest at times as doubt, disbelief, incomprehension and fear. Holy Spirit our Helper, help us
