FAMILIAR BUT POTENT
”“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?“

GOOD DAY: The above scripture is very common even among those who do not believe in Christ that one may be tempted to think it is not potent. It is actually the most potent of scriptures in giving one peace at tough times like we are now. Apart from the world economy that is not buoyant, some nations have the economic downturn very terrible. Nigeria is one of such countries and the average Nigerian is worried about how to get the next meal. Religious activities are hunger and poverty motivated. With a promise to be free from poverty and lack, worshippers put down their widow’s mite and subject themselves to all conditions. Whereas if they will go to God directly He says they are not to be anxious, He will feed them and take care of their lives. If only they will believe and rest in God doing His will, He will turn their endeavor to provision. Put away your anxiety, do your bit and leave the rest to God.
PRAY: Dear Lord, thank You for being the one that sustains Your creation. Help me to trust my life into Your care.
