God is I AM THAT I AM

January 4.    Genesis ch 12-15

GOD IS I AM THAT I AM

“And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”Exodus 3:13–14 KJV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: If you are like Moses that wanted the name of God of their fathers, you have done well. God revealed a mind boggling name that describes Him. He says His name is I AM. I AM that I AM. This name shows who God is in a way that mankind can never fathom completely. The name I AM inspired awe and worship if you contemplate it. It implies that God is as big and as small as you can imagine or experience. He is also as close and as far away as you can imagine. To not give Him the reverence that He deserves is like mankind punishing himself. If you fully take in the name I AM, you will consciously acknowledge God in all things, places and at all times in a way that will bring not only individual inner peace but interpersonal peace as well. Tomorrow, we will take the name of God with a face as we journey into our spiritual walk with Him. Whenever you hear or say the word I AM in a conversation, let your mind remember God. As you do this, observe and write down the effect it has on you at the end of the day. 

TODAY’S EXERCISE: Repeat “GOD IS I AM” to yourself ten times and as many times as possible to yourself today.
