HELMET OF SALVATION

March 21.              2 Kings ch 4-7

HELMET OF SALVATION

Let God’s saving power be like a helmet, and for a sword use God’s message that comes from the Spirit. Never stop praying, especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit. Stay alert and keep praying for God’s people.

Ephesians 6:17‭-‬18 CEV

GOOD DAY: In our good fight of faith, every part of the spiritual body is protected so we need not fear if we understand. The head is the seat of thoughts, decision making in nature and the control center of the body. The helmet protects the head from injuries in sporting events that could lead to falls or in warfare. Head injury can be life threatening or fatal or result in the injured not thinking right. Salvation in Christ protects the believer’s head from spiritual injury. The knowledge that no matter what the situation is, Jesus Christ died to save us from any injury spiritually keeps us standing and moving forward. Salvation gives strength to boldness. This is how I apply the helmet for example:  when my head is getting worried about the way forward, I remember what Jesus did on the cross and I take my stand for the truth no matter what the enemy is throwing at me or how successful the enemy seems to be getting. Be sure of your salvation and let that be the protection for your mind (your spiritual head).

PRAY: Thank You Jesus for Your death on the cross for my salvation. May I live in the consciousness of it at all times and know that You will always do the best for me.
