HELP IN THE WILDERNESS

June 24.          Psalms ch 124-126

GOD’S WAY TO ABUNDANCE

The sons of Israel ate the manna forty years, until they came to an inhabited land; they ate the manna until they came to the border of the land of Canaan.

Exodus 16:35 NASB1995

I have led you forty years in the wilderness; your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandal has not worn out on your foot. You have not eaten bread, nor have you drunk wine or strong drink, in order that you might know that I am the Lord your God.

Deuteronomy 29:5‭-‬6 NASB1995

GOOD DAY: Almost everyone I speak with now has almost the same story to tell all over the world. It is the story of how tough things have been and how expensive it has become to live. To many people like me as well, I cannot explain how I have been surviving this tough season except through God. I have a mantra which is IN HIM I LIVE, IN HIM I MOVE AND IN HIM I HAVE MY BEING. Acts 17:28. I cannot count how many times I chant this in a day and it has made me find supply and support for each day.

God promised to take the children of Israel to a land flowing with milk and honey. It was going to be a journey. Your way to wealth and abundance too is a journey. In this journey, you will pass through the wilderness. The wilderness now is not a physical one but virtual one where nothing thrives, everything is expensive, wages no longer enough for human needs etc. The whole world is in the wilderness. For those who believe in God, they will see His manna. Things will supernaturally work out to provide their daily needs while in the wilderness. It is worthy of note that the Israelites were gainfully employed in Egypt. They were shepherds, maisons and working for Pharaoh in all manner of work. They knew what they would do when the wilderness was over. Likewise, each person is to be gainfully trained and employed before the wilderness journey starts. There is no room for idleness with God. Whoever does not work cannot eat.

For even when we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either. For we hear that some among you are leading an undisciplined life, doing no work at all, but acting like busybodies. Now such persons we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ to work in quiet fashion and eat their own bread.”

2 Thessalonians 3:10‭-‬12 NASB1995

So in this wilderness season all over the world and individual lives, be assured that with God, you will walk through to the time and place of abundance without your shoe wearing off or your clothes tearing.

PRAY: Dear Lord, You led the children of Israel through the wilderness with Your vivid presence, please lead me too at these tough times.
