HIS AROMA: CONVICTION

December 28.    Revelation ch 6-9

HIS AROMA: Conviction:

[10] Now David’s heart troubled him after he had numbered the people. So David said to the Lord, “I have sinned greatly in what I have done. But now, O Lord, please take away the iniquity of Your servant, for I have acted very foolishly.”

‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭24:10‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

GOOD DAY: One aroma of God’s presence that we need to be more attentive to is conviction. All others are sweet and we don’t resist them but we resist conviction. It is called conscience by many. We battle with the conscience most times if what it rejects is what we love to do. We all have gone against our conscience several times and have experienced the unpleasant consequences. If you read the full story above, the consequences of David’s actions affected the whole nation of Israel. This is why apart from being attentive to ours, we must pray that our leaders and those whose lives affect ours be mindful of theirs so we can have a peaceful life. Thank God for your conscience, embrace God in it. Yield to it even in small matters like what to eat and when to stop eating and you will be able to say without doubt that God is with you and loves you.

PRAY: Dear Lord, let me see You in my conscience and agree with You as You lead.
