HIS THOUGHTS FOR ME

“For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 AMP

GOOD DAY: Yesterday, we talked about how God wants us to forgive our offenders no matter how deep the offense is. Many years ago when God first made me forgive someone who offended me, I cried for days before I could do it. I thought to myself that I was accepting to be the loser which I didn’t want to do. I eventually forgave him and it was like a heavy burden was lifted off my shoulders. As I kept practicing forgiveness over the years, I found that it became easier and now, forgiving any offense is super easy. What did I learn from forgiving offenses? What did I learn that made it easy and not feel like a loser? Our scripture for meditation today opened up to me and I chose to believe and walk in it. 

God’s thoughts towards me while giving all His guidelines for living are thoughts of good and not of evil to give me a future and a hope. Years have passed and I have seen the goodness and love in His asking me to forgive. Say Jeremiah 29:11 to yourself several times until it enters your heart and becomes your belief. God Himself will work everything out for your good as you have believed. To obey God in anything is to show that you trust Him to do the best for you. 

To all those who reached out to me yesterday about offenses they find difficult to forgive, I share your passion and I say that your resistance shows the great need for you to forgive. Trust me, I am addicted to forgiving even when the offender does not ask for it and it has paid off for me just as giving thanks at all times and in all things have. I encourage you to practice forgiveness always to enter into the best that God has for you. 

PRAY: Dear Father, You showed us an example in Your Son Jesus who not only forgave but asked You to forgive those who crucified Him. Help me to follow His example and enjoy being exalted above all offenses as You exalt Jesus.
