HOUSE CLEARING
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” Psalm 139:23-24 NLT
GOOD DAY: The first practical lesson I had in a psychology class in therapy training shocked me at how much can be loaded in the mind which can overflow and become a mental affliction. The man being treated was in deep depression which he had denied for so long even during the session. He talked of offences his late mother committed against him and how two ladies in his past relationships had done the same thing. How his sister had denied him of an opportunity he thought was going to be his breakthrough event; how his first wife had been mean and how much he hated her; there were heaps of offences from all his work places he was carrying in his mind. He is a born again Christian and a Sunday school teacher in one of the big Pentecostal churches yet he carried all these negative things on his mind, unable to forgive himself or others until he cracked. As a Christian and even an unbeliever, mind-clearing and forgiveness of offences is essential. I do it on a daily basis since I knew the implications of holding on to grudges a long time ago. Ask God to show you the contents of your heart and take out any bad contents in it. If we take time to do this regularly, we will be happy and healthy.
PRAY: “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” in Jesus’ name.

Yes ma. It is necessary to de-clutter our mind to enable us move on in life. We really need God to help us, inasmuch as we try, some memories of past offences wouldn’t leave us easily.
Bowe
Vey true we need to ask God to take away the venom in the memories.

Thank you Ma’am. I can truly relate with this case study. As a survivor of clinical depression by the grace of God and only God. To God and God alone be all the glory. Hallelujah.I now ensure that l address any untoward feeling that is an outcome of a situation, discussion or relationship. If l have to apologize I will but the matter must be resolved. I will also from now on, start evaluating on a daily basis the state of my mind, beliefs and emotions using Psalms 139:23-24 as the anchor tool. There must be zero tolerance for negative emotions, unforgiveness and self righteousness in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
