June 11. Psalms ch 88-90
THE GREAT AWARENESS (I AM)
Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.
John 8:58-59 ESV
GOOD DAY. A new awareness is sometimes resisted or the person bringing the awareness is termed mentally derailed or heretic by religious people. Jesus brought out the reality of MAN MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD. What did God say of Himself? We know God from the Name He calls Himself; He reveals Himself in His name. This is the altimate name of God that He revealed. And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
Exodus 3:14 KJV. The name is I AM. I AM THAT I AM. This is your name too as a child of God. That is what Jesus revealed to mankind in John 8:58-59 that the people of His time wanted to stone Him. I want you to meditate on this during the whole of today. Tell yourself “I AM THAT I AM”. The religious self in you may first feel odd and may feel rude or heretic but the truth is “I am that I am.” What are the implications of this to you? I leave you with this today. In today’s language, we say “it is what it is” and likewise, “I am that I am.”
PRAY” Dear Lord, that the whole of You is in me is difficult for me to take in but that is what You make it to be. Help me to understand this and live like Your child and image indeed.
