February 23. Judges ch 2-5
I CHOOSE TO…
““Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
Matthew 5:8 NASB1995
GOOD DAY: All over the world, man is at the point where each person has to choose. You have to choose your response to world events. You have to choose between courage and fear; you have to choose what you read and hear; you have to choose your company; you have to choose what you eat; there are so many choices we have to make but the mother of all choices is who you choose to see. Whoever you choose to see in all that is happening worldwide determines what you feel and experience. In the beginning, God saw. Made in His image, we need to see as well. Satan knew this and called Eve’s attention to see. She saw the fruit of knowledge of good and evil and she had a feeling that led to action. “When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.” Genesis 3:6 NASB1995
What you see at any time determines how you feel and the actions that you take.
I choose to see God at all times and in all things. The person who will see God must have a pure heart. What makes the heart pure? “The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.” Psalms 19:8 NASB1995
The commandments of God are pure. “The words of the Lord are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times.” Psalms 12:6 NASB1995
If you keep the words of God in your heart, you will see God in everything. Your eyes of understanding will be enlightened and you will not only have peace but know what to do when others are confused. Remember that you have the responsibility to choose where to fix your gaze.
PRAY: Dear Lord, please make my heart pure and cause me to see you always.
