August 5. Isaiah ch 29-31
JUST YOU
“He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.”” Matthew 13:33 NIV
GOOD DAY: Many years back, I tried to fry puff puff the Nigerian equivalent of dunkin and I did not put yeast in the dough. I mixed it and fried it in very hot oil and I only got puff puff as hard as stone. I then asked my friends and we laughed about it but it taught me a lesson later in life.
The kingdom of God needs yeast in every bubble of life. If you want a change in any system, you need to be that change first then you will be the yeast that will spread round with time. We can spread the knowledge and kingdom of God again by being the light of God in our little bubble. It is a bit difficult in this dispensation because those who don’t care about God are succeeding. The patience of God in dealing with the wicked makes others attracted to wickedness. On the other hand, the peace and joy that God gives the righteous passes all human understanding. It is because peace and joy are not tangible so righteousness seems not to be paying. You will be mocked for being too holy but you will be rewarded in ways that are beyond human understanding. When life in any society becomes hard like my puff puff, it is because there is no yeast of righteousness. Be the yeast that will spread and make life comfortable by being righteous.
God does not forget your labour of love nor does He forget the wickedness of the wicked.
PRAY: Dear Lord, please empower me to be the yeast of righteousness in the dough of my bubble and cause my knowledge of You to spread in Jesus name.
