August 23 Jeremiah ch 31-33
IS GOD TRUE OR NOT?
What then? If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God, will it? May it never be! Rather, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar, as it is written, “That You may be justified in Your words, And prevail when You are judged.” Romans 3:3-4 NASB1995
GOOD DAY. So many people, especially colored people who were colonized by those who brought Christianity to them are wondering whether Christianity is real or just a tool to cheat others more so that modern day pastors feed big on gullible poor congregations just as those who brought Christianity to them fed big on their forefathers. A young guy was asked why he does not go to church and he replied that the church is a hoax to strip people of their possessions. Is he at fault to feel that way? No. The truth is, there is a difference between the word of God and the messenger of the word. The messenger is man and could be subject to human weaknesses but the word of God is God and is true. The fact that the deceived are rebelling and rejecting or querying those that deceived them is the testimony to the truth of the word of God and God. Listen to Jesus, He said So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” John 8:31-32 NASB1995
He wants us to continue in His word to know the truth and be free. The wickedness of the heart of man will make him hide the truth but at the fullness of time, the deceived will find and know the truth and be free from the deception of the deceiver. The closer that you are to God personally, the more you find that He is true and real. The Bible is open to to everyone, the Holy Spirit is free to guide whoever invites Him into all truth and nobody should be deceived now who is not willingly surrendering to deception. So are you doubting God in any way? Try going into the Bible yourself. Be like the Bereans. The brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. Acts 17:10-11 NASB1995. They checked the scripture themselves to get to the truth. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to the truth. All men could be liars but God is true.
PRAY: Dear Lord, teach me to seek you with the help of the Holy Spirit till I find You.
