April 2. 1 Samuel ch 22-24
LET US GO SIGHTSEEING
The Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him, Now lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward; for all the land which you see, I will give it to you and to your descendants forever.
Genesis 13:14-15 NASB1995
GOOD DAY: Let us try something together today. We want to practice the above scripture to learn how to see with our minds eye. The first step is to identify our own individual Lot. Lot stands for the object of strife and struggle in your mind. Get your pen and paper. Your age or status don’t matter. You can still see with your mind. The Lot in my own mind was Mr. Fear. Yours may be a real person or situation. Write it down. I dealt with fear by assuming that should the worst happen, will it be new? No. Have others not moved on and succeeded in spite of the bad condition? Yes. Once the answer is yes, I usually choose to rest my mind on the ability of God that He will see me through no matter what happens. Once my mind settles on that, I begin to look in all directions as the Lord allows me to see in my imagination. Until strife leaves and your mind is at peace, you can’t hear or see anything from God. You too should decide the Lot that is causing you to strive in your mind. You can choose to forgive if it is a person, or drop the issue that is disturbing you. Let it go. Be at peace and God will show you what you should see. This will take some time as your mind will consider a lot of things. Let your mind toss it for a little time then decide to drop it and move on. At that point, it does not matter again then you can hear God. DO NOTE THAT YOU CAN ONLY SEE FOR YOURSELF
PRAY: Dear Lord, please help me to let go of all the objects of strife in my mind.
