Listening to God 1
“Then a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is My beloved Son, listen to Him!”” Mark 9:7 NASB1995
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;”. John 10:27 NASB1995
GOOD DAY: Listening to God is not optional for a child of God, it is mandatory. It does not come naturally. We have to choose to learn it so that it becomes a habit. How do you learn to listen to God?
First, God is Spirit, man is spirit, soul and body. The soul of man is the interface between his spirit and the physical world or my five senses; man’s consciousness. To get to hear God, you must invite the Holy Spirit of God to be your spirit. This happens when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
Next is to have a soul renewal through the word of God. You think, feel, make decisions etc in your soul. You store information there too. Your spirit is the power in you. At creation, God had the image of the universe (including you) and the Spirit of God moved over the image and God spoke everything into being. A lot happens in the soul. If you understand this fundamental nature of man, it will be easy to listen to God and identify His voice when He speaks. You can download my book “The Total Man” from the free books section. PRAY: Dear Lord, open my eye of understanding that I may know You and understand my make up as well so that I can hear you.
