June 27.      Psalm ch 48-52

LISTENING TO GOD 2

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” 

Romans 12:2 NASB1995

GOOD DAY: The soul is the seat of the mind. See the translation of mind in Greek is translated:

the mind, comprising alike the faculties of perceiving and understanding and those of feeling, judging, determining

the intellectual faculty, the understanding reason in the narrower sense, as the capacity for spiritual truth, the higher powers of the soul, the faculty of perceiving divine things, of recognising goodness and of hating evil

the power of considering and judging soberly, calmly and impartially a particular mode of thinking and judging, i.e thoughts, feelings, purposes, desires. 

The soul is the interface between the spirit and the body. It is the seat where information from the outside world perceived through the five senses is deposited. It is in the soul that you think of what you hear or you are taught then form your opinion or belief. To hear the spirit of God as a child of God, you have to renew your soul with the word of God. When the world through your senses sends information to your soul, the spirit of God will speak to you through His word  stored in your soul that you have thought about to believe. For example, I have put in my soul that the Lord will bless my food and my water and take disease out of me. Exodus 23:25 When I bless and eat what is sold in the market, the food will not give me disease as Jesus takes disease out of my midst. The more I renew my mind with the word of Jesus Christ, the easier it is for me to hear Him. Another example is Jesus says pray for your enemies and bless those who despitefully use you. I have taught of this enough to believe it in my mind. A person now goes to damage my character to take my job. I want to hear what Jesus will say. He will ask me to pray for him and bless him. Vengeance belongs to Jesus and He  will take revenge. 

This is the simple explanation of hearing the voice of God. 

PRAY: Dear Lord, I want to hear your voice always. Make me love your written word and make it my thought in Jesus name.
