LIVING IN HOPE REJOICING ALWAYS

“Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,”

Romans 12:9, 12 NASB1995

GOOD DAY. One thing we all love is to rejoice. Times of positive emotions are times we love to be in always but reality denies us that. Tough as it may be, it is possible to rejoice always for someone who has hope. Even a dying person who has the hope of heaven rejoices. There are data of research done into the state of several dying people in some foreign hospitals and they see that there are people of different ages who faced death with joy. That said, how do we live to fulfil : 

“Rejoice always;”? 1 Thessalonians 5:16 NASB1995

We all know how to do it but most of the time in the negative way. We all know how to live in the past clinging to the evil done to us rather than abhor it. We think and imagine past hurts by people and feel the negative emotions again and again that they affect our present life as if they are just happening. Do you remember one such time? Maybe you are just passing through one now. Cool. It is okay that you feel so but it is not okay that you hold on to it. 

Now drop that thought and replace it with the HOPE that you are expecting. Then start thinking about how you will be feeling and living when that hope is fulfilled. See everything you will do and rejoice as you live the life in your mind. This gives us perseverance in tribulation and a vibrant prayer life. You will be happy when you see your thoughts become your reality. 

This is how to live rejoicing always. Every situation will change in its time. Everything has expiry time. Ecclesiastes 3:1. So see and focus on your hope and not your doom to live happily always. Try it today and write your full experience. It is difficult at first. Write the difficulties. But if you don’t stop looking at your hope, you will soon master it. 

PRAY: Dear Lord, in the multitude of adverse conditions and predictions, help me to keep my focus on the hope that the resurrection of Jesus gives mankind and the world in general.
