LOST ALL HOPE? IT’S OKAY

“For we do not want you to be unaware, brethren, of our affliction which came to us in Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life; indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead; who delivered us from so great a peril of death, and will deliver us, He on whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us, 2 Corinthians 1:8-10

GOOD DAY: To all who are under the load of trials and are at their wits end, the Lord is telling you today that it is okay. Like Apostle Paul and his colleagues, they were there. They had the sentence of death within them because of the afflictions they went through. Paul however gave us the beauty of having got to the end of your road. You learn to no longer trust in your strength and abilities but to trust in God alone who will do what He sees best. As persons, we often believe that we are better than others because we pray better and harder, we work harder etc and we can never experience what others are going through. Paul could pray, worked and knew God yet God made him not to rely on his power but on God alone. 

Anytime you get to the point where all hope is lost and you have surrendered to defeat, when God delivers you, it gives you so much joy that you are able to affirm that God exists and truly helps man. You will learn to set your hope on God to deliver you again when in any peril. 

Until you get to that point, you will not know how to encourage others. So my dear brothers and sisters going through trying times that present no way out, you shall yet praise God who will come through for you at the last moment. Stay focused on Him and surrender to His will and He will come through for you. Be patient. 

PRAY: Dear Lord, I pray today for all Your children going through trials that nothing they know how to do has worked deliverance. I ask that You comfort and uphold them until Your deliverance comes.
