September 17. Daniel ch 2-4
NOT TO YOU BUT TO GOD
“But the thing was displeasing in the sight of Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord. The Lord said to Samuel, “Listen to the voice of the people in regard to all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being king over them.”

GOOD DAY: Prophet Samuel, not conscious or aware that God lived inside of him did what we all still do and lose our cool when people reject us or are rude to us. You see, when you act in love towards people and they turn round to insult or reject you, they are not doing it to you but to God who lives in you and moved you to reach out to them. The day that I realized this, my anger level and pang reduced by ninety percent because I knew that God will reward each person with what he deserves. Never take offenses personal, see them as directed at God and not you. It also made me respect people no matter who they are or what position they occupy. If you remember in Matthew 25:34-46, Jesus said people will be judged as sheep or goat according to how they treated the sick, stranger, poor, the naked etc because that was Him they were treating. Remember that when God wants to answer your prayers, it is man He uses. He could even use that beggar on the road so, see the face of God in everyone you meet and see yourself as the face of God. Let us treat God well in each other.
PRAY: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for coming to show us that God lives in man. Teach mankind to see and respect You in their fellow persons.
