nothing is new; it happened before

July 31.    Isaiah ch 8-10

NOTHING IS NEW; IT HAPPENED BEFORE 

“That which has been is that which will be, And that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one might say, “See this, it is new”? Already it has existed for ages Which were before us.” Ecclesiastes 1:9-10 NASB1995

GOOD DAY: World economy has put a lot of strain on many people leading to depression and frustration in varying degrees. Some things happen in one’s life that you cannot help but you feel ashamed and begin to hide from people. For example, a woman who had been believing for the fruit of the womb for some time suddenly finds she is pregnant and people have started noticing the change in her body then alas! She miscarried. She became frustrated and ashamed of what people will be saying and wondering if she will ever conceive and feeling guilty of how she had lived before. The truth is, no matter what happens to you, it is not new. It happened before. A man had a bad business deal and became frustrated and worked up to the point of having a stroke! Brother it is not new. It happened before and people survived it and rose again. Disappointments could be tough to deal with but that does not change the fact that it had happened before. It is not new. 

Scripture says : “Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.” 1 Corinthians 10:11 NASB1995

The things that happened before were recorded for our instruction so we know how to deal with them. Whatever the challenge you are facing, don’t act to injure yourself and don’t give up on your life. Check the scriptures for precepts or true stories of such a challenge and how it was handled.

Remember that: “We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 TPT

The truth is, YOU ARE BUILT WITH THE CAPACITY TO BEAR THE TRIAL THAT COMES YOUR WAY VICTORIOUSLY. 

Believe this. Where and when you get weary, there will be your Simon of Cyrene who will help you to bear the cross as he did for Jesus on the way to Calvary. To all those who are fearful, ashamed and with bowed heads, lift up your heads, look unto Christ and arise. Nothing is new under the sun. 

PRAY: Dear Lord Jesus, I pray today for all those who are weary and tired, may You revive them with Your love and be their strength.
