July 29. Isaiah ch 1-4.
ONE ON ONE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
““What bliss you experience when your heart is pure! For then your eyes will open to see more and more of God.” Matthew 5:8 TPT
GOOD DAY: In the toughest of times, one can experience bliss. The dictionary meaning of bliss is “When one is in a state of perfect happiness, oblivious of anything else, it is called being in bliss. Blissful living is experiencing a magnified state of emotional happiness, well-being, joy and personal fulfillment, one that is ultimately the goal of each and every human on this planet.” This is possible if one has a pure heart. I read the life of Brother Lawrence an old saint in Practice The Presence of God many years back and I became aware of the possibility of having a blissful life. I admired Brother Lawrence’s life in that in all the ups and downs of his life even with a disability, he was happy throughout his life after meeting with Christ.
I looked into Matthew 5:8 and decided to study what the bible calls pure. Pure in English means unadulterated or without contamination or mixture. I found that the only thing the bible describes as PURE is the WORD OF GOD. “The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.” Psalm 19:8 NASB1995 became of particular interest to me. The pure word of God makes me see huuuum. The more of God I see, the more blissful my life becomes. I then decided to make reading through the bible regularly with prayer that the Holy Spirit should open my eyes to see God as I was reading a habit. I discovered that the more I read the bible, the more I began to see light and God in every circumstance in life. The more of God I see in a situation, the more bliss that I experience in the situation. “Your word is very pure, Therefore Your servant loves it.” Psalms 119:140 NASB1995
Once you decide to fill your heart with the word of God, your heart is inspired by God at all times to know the steps you are to take. This enlightenment of your eyes will make you know what to do at any particular moment and the decisions to take in the specifics of your life. God has taken me through many difficult paths but His word in my heart has made me experience bliss in all of them.
Note that whatever word you store in your heart will release its energy in your life and give you its light.
PRAY: Dear Lord Jesus Christ, You are the Word of God. Help me to fill my heart with You that I may see more of You in my life.
