July 10. Proverbs ch 19-21
INVITATION WITH A PROMISE
Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
Jeremiah 33:3 ESV
GOOD DAY. This is an open invitation by God to anyone who chooses to accept it. God Himself asks us to call on Him. If He were a God who does not speak, He will not ask us to call on Him. He stated this invitation explicitly in Isaiah when He said ““Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.”
Isaiah 1:18 ESV. This shows that no matter how bad you seem to be or are, He will talk to you. One may now ask; ” where is God when bad things are happening to mankind?” It is because we fail to reason with Him. We fail to ask Him but put ourselves as our own gods. We are gods but then the Spirit of God is the Almighty and He dwells in us but will not force His will on us. That is why He calls us to come and reason with Him and to call on Him. For a peaceful life, each one of us needs to understand his mode of communication and communicate with God in his own way.
PRAY: Dear Lord, I do not know myself well enough but You know me. Teach me the way to communicate with You that agrees with my nature.
