August 14. Isaiah ch 59-62
OVER WHAT?
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;” Psalms 24:1 NIV
GOOD DAY: So many wars and rumours of wars are going on in the world ranging from household wars to community wars then nation warring against nation. OVER WHAT? I read with pain in my mind about the war between Russia and Ukraine, now there is the possibility of a full blown war between Israel and Iran. Why and over what? Why must we kill and destroy ourselves over things that don’t belong to us? THE EARTH IS THE LORD’S AND THE FULLNESS OF IT. One generation comes and goes yet they leave the earth they have fought so much to gain behind not knowing what the next generation will do with what they fought to keep! All fights are vanity. Yesterday, we talked about house cleaning. When the house of man is filled with the spirit of the world, no matter how brilliant or enlightened he is, he will behave as the true type of the treasures in his soul. We saw the unclean spirits yesterday. The good treasure includes the following: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23
The good treasure will seek love, joy, peace and the like.
Although the world tries to side track Jesus Christ from its affairs, He is the Prince of Peace. Let us all pray the way we know that God should pour forth the spirit of peace in our hearts and especially in the hearts of people who lead in the world.
PRAY: Dear Lord Jesus, I pray that the world may remember You today and pray that Your Spirit may guide our steps out of war for the sake of the young children who do not know their left from their right. Have mercy Lord.
