preparing for season change

September 4.  Lamentations ch 1-2

PREPARING FOR SEASON CHANGE

““Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps. Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep. But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. The foolish said to the prudent, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the prudent answered, ‘No, there will not be enough for us and you too; go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.’ And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. Later the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open up for us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’ Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.” Matthew 25:1-13 NASB1995

GOOD DAY: Life is about cycles. If Jesus tarries in His second coming, good times will come again but how prepared are you for the good times to come? I was surprised when the Holy Spirit likened the turnaround of time to the story of the ten virgins. While we await the turnaround of situations, have you lost hope? Have you allowed your skill to rot and your tools to fall into pieces? Have you allowed sadness and frustration to have the better hold of you that if the turnaround happens now you cannot take advantage of it or benefit from it? Beware and don’t be like the five foolish virgins. Know for sure that there will be a turnaround, therefore practise your job, think of how to pick up, take time to study new things and pray. Use your internet to learn new things. If you are in the production line, produce goods that will be sold. Today, see how you can prepare for a visitation, a turnaround and you will have a reason to live even when circumstances are saying otherwise. It is not the circumstances that define your it is your perception that does.

PRAY: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for Your word. Please revive me and make my hope in You sure so that I will prepare for Your visitation in goodness anytime that You do.
