August 9. Isaiah ch 41-43
TALKING OF THE SPIRIT
“The human spirit is the lamp of the Lord that sheds light on one’s inmost being.”
Proverbs 20:27NIV
GOOD DAY: We will be oscillating between spirit and soul so that we can become clear and able to understand a lot of happenings in the light of God. God breathed into man’s nostril after moulding him from dust and he became a living soul. Genesis 2:7 That breath is the Spirit of God in man that other animals do not have. God was communicating with man by the Spirit in him but the day man disobeyed God, he died to the ability to communicate with God and lost the life of God in him. When Jesus Christ came and paid the price for man’s sin, whoever believed in this sacrifice had the Spirit of God restored in him. John 1:12
Now after this summary, how is the spirit relevant now?
“For we did not receive the spirit of this world system but the Spirit of God, …”
1 Corinthians2:12a TPT
First, there is the Holy Spirit of God and there is the spirit of the world from the fallen spirits that man had after he disobeyed God. The natural man has the spirit of the world. When he accepts Jesus as Lord and Saviour of his soul, the Holy Spirit of God is restored to him.
The spirit is the candle that searches the soul of man and whatever information he finds there is what he stirs and uses to work accordingly. If the spirit of the world is in you, he searches for all the worldly information that you have in you and stirs you accordingly. Once you know that there are two spirits you can choose to live in you and choose the Holy Spirit of God or the spirit of the world. They are both candles in their rights and they search what is in your soul to work with. In nature, no matter how bright the light is, it cannot see what is not present in the room. The same is true in the spiritual. The spirit in you cannot see what you have not hidden in your soul. The question for you today is what have you hidden in your soul. We continue from there.
PRAY: Dear Lord, I ask that You give me an understanding of how You made me that I may follow You fruitfully.

Good one.

One of the lessons to be learned from this story Jesus is to be serious and committed to knowing more about the Word from more mature Christians, for example. We should not allow family routine or other distractions to prevent us from spending quality time deep into the Word and allowing the Spirit, our Best Teacher to expound it. Jesus considered spending time knowing more about the Word as obligation to His Father, and so must we as His followers .
