(The beatitudes)

““Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. 

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. 

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. 

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. 

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.” 

“Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Matthew 5:3-12 NIV

GOOD DAY: Yesterday, we talked about the generic ways we should behave to be pleasing to God and make the world habitable and pleasant for mankind. However, man by His power is not able to keep these laws so he has no peace. God Himself had to come as man in the person of Jesus to pay the price for the Spirit of God to live in man so that man can live in love of God and man in any situation. The beatitudes are based on LOVE. God Himself is Love so when He lives in a man, such man is able to love God and man from the heart and have peace. Look at the Be-Atitudes and see if your heart flows in them. 

PRAY: Dear Lord Jesus, I need You to live in me. I cannot have these attitudes without Your Holy Spirit. Help me Lord for in them is the fulfilment of all Laws.
