March 16. 1 Kings ch 6-9
STILL ON THE JOURNEY OF FAITH (HOLINESS)
… for you are destined for all things and will rise victorious. Put on truth as a belt to strengthen you to stand in triumph. Put on holiness as the protective armor that covers your heart. Stand on your feet alert, then you’ll always be ready to share the blessings of peace.
Ephesians 6:13b-15 TPT
GOOD DAY: Again I say in whatever you are going through now, God has decided victory for you. The whole of His power is with you to be victorious. Somebody said to me that he believes he is victorious but he keeps having dreams of defeat in his sleep. I said to him it is left to him to choose what to believe; whether what God says or the dream he is having. As long as you cling to God with your armor on, you have the victory. That takes us to another of the armor. It is HOLINESS. What is holiness? Holiness is the very nature of God. It’s a term used in the Bible to describe both His goodness and His power. It is not a set of rules. Trying to obey a set of rules makes us feel inadequate as we shall always stumble. It is the state of the heart that is rested and united with God. Holiness is the protective armor for your heart. Some occurrences so affect the heart that one may doubt the existence or love of God. This is a serious condition but when one’s heart is joined to God, His presence is the protective shield that keeps our gaze on Him. Holiness is what makes a person say “Your will and not mine be done” anytime or any occasion. Whatever will touch such a person has to touch and defeat God first. Such challenges are seen from God’s perspective. God does speak to man’s heart. Holiness is obeying whatever God impresses in your heart. His word never fails to perform wherever He sends it so holiness is a shield. We will continue tomorrow God willing.
PRAY: Dear Lord, please speak clearly to my heart and help me to follow your lead.
